I have used the great services provided by Kevin and his team at Weinbox Builders for several projects. They have always kept me in the loop with communicating any delays, issues or general progress. I have had teams work on both my own home: double glazing, complete bathroom renovation, deck and two pergolas, reroof area a deck area and at rental: deck, boundary fence, double glazing and some general maintenance.
They may not be the 'cheapest' (but who wants cheap buildings these days) but they are reliable, considerate, tidy and completed all the projects to a high standard. I would recommend them to anyone looking for great workmanship, from a team where trainees are well supported in their learning while providing quality work.

With a background in HR, health and safety, and financial analysis and a genuine eye for design, she coordinates every job with the detail and rigour it deserves. She also runs her own kitchen and bathroom renovation projects.

Bathrooms vary depending on design, layout, products, and whether you're tiling. As a general guide — Basic: $20,000–$35,000 (vinyl floor, paint finish, same layout). Mid-range: $30,000–$40,000 (some tiles, higher-end products, layout change). High-end: $35,000–$50,000+ (fully tiled with premium products). We'll give you an accurate and transparent estimate after your free consultation. (These prices are GST-excluded).
Kitchen costs vary significantly based on size, layout, and products chosen. We offer Basic, Mid-range, and High-end packages, plus fully tailored options. The best first step is getting in touch — we'll walk you through what's possible at your budget before you commit to anything.
For larger renovation projects, there is an initial site visit cost of $150. This includes a detailed consultation and an estimate covering what each aspect of your renovation is likely to cost.
We don’t skip corners during this phase, because accurate planning allows us to provide transparent, realistic pricing from the start. If you choose to move ahead with Weinbox Builders, the $150 is credited back into the build itself.
Bathroom renovations typically take 4–6 weeks from demolition. Kitchen renovations are usually 5–6 weeks. Larger alterations and extensions can take 4–6 months or more depending on scope. We'll give you a specific timeline in your transparent estimate, before we start.
We have everything covered. Weinbox Builders has a trusted network of trades — plumbers, electricians, tilers, cabinetmakers, painter, gib stopper, roofer, joiners, glaziers, concrete placers, engineers, architects — who all work within our system. You engage us once, and we coordinate the whole job from start to finish. One call. One point of contact. No chasing.
All building work is covered under the NZ Building Act 2004 implied warranties — meaning work will be done properly and to code, materials will be new and suitable, and your home will be fit for occupation. Weinbox also carries $10,000,000 Liability Insurance, $500,000 Statutory Insurance, and $250,000 Property Insurance.
We do a full walkthrough with you before any job is closed off. If something isn't right, we fix it before we leave. That's not a policy — that's just how we work.
